Installation consisted of plugging the single port into the router and outlet, the 4 way port into its various componets and outlet, then letting our network know that the components were not intruders. When we stream Netflix, there are now no dropouts and the video quality is always at a maximum, even on HD streaming.
Downloads on the Xbox and DirecTV OnDemand are also much faster. With the wireless set up video quality was mediocre and HD streaming suffered from constant drop outs.
I love this product. It is much faster then our old wireless set up and much cleaner.
My house is about 45 years old, 2800 square feet with the router on the 3rd floor and the SlingLink on the 1st floor. My 15 year old had it up and running in under 10 minutes.
This is running an Xbox 360, Blu Ray, and a DirecTV DVR.

Plugged it in and my two devices found the router immediately. I had no problem.
So far, no problems whatsover. The product works. This is a great product. I have downloaded several movies to my HD DVR receiver and have accessed BD Live. I am using it to connect my DirecTV HD DVR and my Sony BluRay to the Internet thru my DSL router in another room in the house. I had both devices talking to the internet within minutes.
Works fine for my dish and playing online games with the xbox. Even when plugged into outlets right next to each other I cannot get speeds fast enough to support streaming windows media center video to my xbox as an extender. When I plug the computer into the same hub as the xbox the video is awesome.
